"I'd just like to say that I don't think we'll need anymore help...not to sound rude but I think we're at the point now where we can handle ourselves. I know we owe you a few things and I was hoping I could talk to you about getting those taken care of as soon as possible." Alex looked over to the werewolf as he spoke.

'Really?' The amused tone increased a little, to the point that the Morrigan was starting to sound like she was humouring him. 'An' what would those words be?'

"Yes, this is Alex..Oh no, just wanted to have a few words." He said leaning against the wall as his leg ached from standing.

The voice at the other end - female, and with an accent that could have been irish or Scottish or even Welsh - sounded a little intrigued.
'Hello, ye'd be Alex, then? Ye're the negotiator now?'

Alex bit his lip and started to stand. He pulled his crunches under his arms and made his way over to Simon's side, "Yeah, hero..I'll take it." he whispered to the werewolf. Taking the phone from Simon's hand, he took a deep breath, "Hello.."

Simon got up, took the cup and wandered off to the kitchen. He brought back a fresh cup and, as if on command, the phone rang.
Glancing at Alex, Simon picked it up. 'Hello? Uh. Hang on.'
He covered the mouthpiece and turned to his lover. 'Treasure, it's the Morrigan. You want to talk to her?'

"No," Alex replied, "I'm too worried about the phone ringing now..." Alex said sheepishly. He sipped at the cold coffee in his hands and made a face, "I wouldn't mind this being fresh, though..."

'But...' Simon sighed. Alex was obviously getting tremendously worked up about this and it wouldn't do him much good to keep protesting. They'd deal with it when the problem actually became a problem.
'OK. Whatever you say.' The werewolf turned and hugged him, gently - it was hard to remember that Alex was extra-fragile just now but now that Simon had got it into his head he was treating Alex like glass. 'You hungry?'

"If she calls, tell her we're very busy and then hang up..." Alex said, "I don't want anything else from her..she was in my dream, hero...she turned our whole world upside down..started a war."

Simon looked puzzled. 'If you say so, Treasure - but I've still got a debt to pay, you know that, right? She's not gonna back off just because we don't want to play.'
